CRC Scene Summer 2018

We are certainly enjoying one of the best summers ever and it has brightened all of us as we work through the summer months. We have been able to enjoy some great outdoor activities and day trips with children and adults and hats off (or on in the midday sun!!) to you all for the creativity and energy in getting out and about.

We are delighted to have presented the CRC Annual Report 2017 to the Board in June for approval and sign off and a massive thanks to Michelle & Dan in Communications and Yvonne and the finance team and all contributors for producing a really super document. The annual report is currently being printed and will be available by the end of August.

In other news, on behalf of myself and the Board I am delighted to announce two new Members to the CRC . It is an honour to welcome Ann Jackson and Leah Goulding. You all will be familiar with Ann who was principal of the CRC School and has a lifetime of working with children. I’m thrilled that Ann will be working with the Board as a member and she will be a great resource to them. Leah is the granddaughter of Lady Goulding, our founder. I am really delighted to welcome Leah as it is such a lovely link to her Grandmother whose vision made it all happen. Leah is a nurse and works in St Michaels Hospital, Dun Laoghaire.

The role of a member is more limited and less involved than that of a director. Members attend one AGM every year (as well as any EGM that might be called) to receive a copy of the CRC’s annual accounts and to vote on matters brought to any general meeting.
