learn more about working in a Children’s Disability Team

Do you have 30 minutes to learn more about working in a Children’s Disability Team? The HSE will soon be offering jobs to people for posts on our children’s disability teams.

The HSE have set up a 30 minute webinar to help you know more about the jobs we’re offering and the people and children you could help on our teams. The webinar will cover what it is like to work as part of an inter-disciplinary team with the child and their families.

The webinar is free and you can attend on any of these times and ask questions about the work. You only need to attend one as we offer the same information in each session.

What are Children’s Disability Network Teams?

Children’s Disability Network Teams provide specialised support and services for children with complex needs.  The team includes Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Nurses and administrative staff. Some teams may also have Family Support Workers, Dieticians, Socialcare Workers, Care Assistants and preschool staff. The aim is for every child to have a childhood where they can have fun, develop interests and form relationships in every environment.

What do people working on our teams think?
Staff working in Children’s Disability Network Teams are proud of the difference they make in helping children develop, learn and participate in everyday activities.

“To be able to come together and use our experience to support families is really meaningful and very different to any other job I have ever had” Maria, Speech & Language Therapist.

“I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience working alongside other team members with different skills to my own. This has helped me grow as a clinician and has built my confidence greatly”, Aoife, Occupational Therapist

‘This is a very enjoyable and satisfying work culture to be a part of”, Rebecca, Physiotherapist

We look forward to seeing you at the webinar!
