The CRC are committed to improving and enhancing our governance structures and we continually strive to achieve better than best practice in corporate governance.
Established in 1951, the CRC was incorporated on 8 October 1953 as a company limited by guarantee and not having a share capital.
The CRC was established under a Memorandum of Association which recognised the objects and powers of the company, and it is governed under its Articles of Association and by the board of directors.
Our activities are charitable in nature and all our income is applied solely in promoting our charitable objectives.
The CRC is registered with the following bodies:
Section 38 Agency: The CRC is a Section 38 Agency under the Health Act 2004.
Triple Lock Certification: The CRC has been awarded ‘Triple-Lock’ membership from Charities Institute Ireland, which demonstrates our commitment to best practice in all aspects of good governance, transparency and fundraising.
