Rehabilitative Training (RT)

This is a 1 year course for people who have left school. You will have a Key Worker who will help you with your Person Centred Plan. In your Person Centred Plan you will set goals for yourself.

  • Reading and Writing
  • IT
  • Work Experience
  • Speaking up (Self Advocacy)
  • Problem Solving
  • Art, Drama, Music, Woodwork, Gardening
  • Sport
  • Cooking

 

After your RT course you can apply for our Vocational Training Programme or our Life Skills Independence Programme.

Vocational Training “Job Skills” Course

This is an 18 month training course for people who are interested in learning the skills that they need to find a job and keep a job.

 

At the end of this course if you are successful you will have a FETAC Level 3 Major Award in Employability Skills.

  • Communications
  • Maths
  • Career Preparation
  • Cooking
  • Health and Safety
  • Career Preparation

“Life Skills” Independence Training

This is a 3 year course for people who want to be more independent.

 

We focus on practical skills such as:

 

  • Washing and ironing
  • Shopping
  • Managing money
  • Community involvement
  • Personal safety
  • Problem solving
  • Speaking up
  • Work experience

Jobs Club

This is a part time club for people who have finished the Jobs Skills Course in the CRC

 

People in the club will:

 

  • Already have a job
  • Be looking for a job

 

We focus on practical skills such as:

 

  • Form filling
  • Job seeking
  • Making phone calls
  • Preparing and updating CVs
  • Personal care and presentation
  • Interview preparation
  • Finding out about different jobs
