What we do

As physiotherapists in the CRC, we work with babies, children and adults to develop their physical skills so they can reach their full potential. We help people to

  • Move and balance in the best way possible
  • Reduce any problems that may occur as they grow and develop

The treatment for people with cerebral palsy in the CRC is primarily based on the Bobath method. Other types of treatment, including hydrotherapy, are also used.

Many of our physiotherapists work in our specialist clinics in the CRC.

All of our physiotherapists in the CRC are chartered physiotherapists eligible for membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. They are all at senior grade and keep up-to-date on international best practice.

Our physiotherapists regularly supervise students on clinical placement in the department.
