Services

We agree to develop and to provide our services, in open consultation with our users, to best international practice, in so far as resources permit.

 

We agree to develop, through increased internal co-operation, comprehensive and well co-ordinated services which take into account the impact of individuals’ disabilities on their families, friends and the wider community, as well as on themselves.

 

We agree to adapt, in so far as is possible and appropriate, the services and support we provide to meet the changing needs of individuals throughout their lives.

Liaison with others

We agree to liaise, co-operate and work with other organisations, including voluntary and statutory bodies, in the development of quality services to meet the needs of people with disabilities throughout the Republic.

 

We agree to seek representation on and, in so far as it is possible, to play an active role in the work of committees, advisory bodies and other groups which have a bearing on our activities now or which may have in the future.

Growth through knowledge

We agree to keep up-to-date with advances in our individual areas of responsibility and on all issues of relevance to people with disabilities and to be active in imparting this knowledge to others, including people with disabilities, their advocates and other service providers, ins so far as is practical and appropriate.

 

We agree to undertake, in an appropriate and timely way, training, re-training, consultation and other processes intended to help us, our users and their advocates, to refresh, refocus and continually improve out operations and services.

Our ethos

We agree to maintain the CRC’s ethos of service and user involvement through the continued commitment, dedication and mutual respect of our paid and voluntary staff.

 

We agree that respect for the dignity and the effort of others is a fundamental human obligation and we undertake to support each other’s efforts to the best of our personal abilities.

Resources

We agree to be prudent and, whenever possible, resourceful, in our use of time and money on the Clinic’s behalf and to participate willingly and enthusiastically in all appropriate activities intended to improve the availability of these essential resources.
