Home Respite

Home Respite is when we organise for the regular parent or carer to have a break from the daily routine of care giving. A home respite worker will come to your home, one morning or afternoon a week, to care for your baby, child or teenager. This gives you a chance to take a break. Some parents use the time to

  • Have a rest

  • Spend time with their other children

  • Meet with friends

  • Go shopping

It also provides a positive experience of separation and play for your baby, child or teenager.

The service is provided free of charge and we review it every six months. It is available to children attending services in CRC Clontarf and CRC Clondalkin.

If you don’t live in the areas where we offer Home Respite, we will help to put you in touch with other organisations that will support you in the care of your child.
